As per report submitted by Airport Authority of India (AAI) there was a bomb threat found on a chit of paper located under a passenger seat in the back of the 737’s cabin SpiceJet flight SG-8152 from Guwahati to Silchar.

The inbound flight was carrying 109 passengers. After the bomb threat was found, the departing flight was delayed by 6 hours and taken to isolation bay to ensure safety of other airport facilities and passengers.

All anti sabotage checks were performed thereafter to ensure the safety of the flight. After which the flight took off with 66 passengers again to Guwahati. The flight safely arrived in Guwahati and Delhi subsequently.
